We’re very happy to announce Verity-Jane Keefe as our School’s Out! #25 speaker.
Verity-Jane Keefe is an artist whose practice is research-based. She works predominately in the public realm, using film, photography, text, and architectural objects to explore the dynamics that shape the relationships between people and places. She is interested in the role of the artist within urban regeneration and how experiential practice can touch upon and raise ambitions of existing and invisible communities. Verity-Jane has a long-term relationship with Barking and Dagenham, making work for, about and with the borough since 2006 as well as across outer London and internationally.
Verity-Jane Keefe will talk to us on April 29 about her recent project on the Becontree Estate in East London, showing the ever-evolving nature of architecture, reflecting broader currents in society. As always you can expect some tunes, bites, and a lecture. Doors open at 18:00, lecture starts at 19:00.
